This week a series of Android problems has been connected to the new Niantic application Pikin Bloom. Users have reported problems that appear on their Android phone after installing Pikmin Bloom, and disappearing so Pikin Bloom is deleted once again. We are currently not sure what root problems, but removing the installation of Pikmin blooms seems to repair various problems, from the drain of a large battery to blocking notifications from other applications from other applications.
Our experience so far
Our first few days with Pikmin Bloom seemed to be going well. This game is not too fantastic when launched, and the first feature of Pikin blooming shows we reflect the lack of instant satisfaction of such games. This game might have been built behind Pokemon Go, but when it was launched it seems to be a very different monsters.
Part of the game allows users to interact with Pikmin creatures using the device’s camera. I tried this feature on Google Pixel 6 which runs Android 12. It was very unstable – surprisingly, considering the high accuracy rate delivered by similar features on Pokemon Go.
This game requires that the user installs Google Fit to work. It encourages users to be healthy, to get out and take a walk, and to use someone’s phone to spread the reducer of Pikmin throughout the world with a persistent flower element tracking on a virtual map.
When launched, this game uses more battery life than other applications on pixels 6 that I use. It seems I’m not alone in finding a giant battery drain. It was only after I deleted the game and found a batch notification from another application waiting for me that I realized other problems caused by the application.
Problems that are linked to Pikin Mekar
If we peered a comment made in Reddit by Elegyds today, we see a list of problems experienced by a number of Android users during the Pikin Bloom launch.
Notification stops appearing while other applications are not fully open. The Google Play Store becomes fussy – it appears unable to “update all” applications, appears unable to download applications up to 100%. Android Auto (wireless) stops functioning. Drain a significant battery – far more than Pokemon Go, with a similar background tracking feature for on-the-go gameplay.
If we peek comment from Antelmo24 and other Google Pixel 6 users, we see similar problems, and similar solutions. We see a problem similar to Google Pixel 4 XL users (as shown in the picture above, from the official Pikin Bloom community page), also run Android 12.
