Roku’s latest update is causing issues with the YouTube TV app

If youtube TV application on your Roku device doesn’t work properly, you’re not the only one. More than a company community forum, there are several reports on the latest Roku Roku OS update which causes the YouTube TV application to freeze after a few minutes to use. In the tweet seen by Gizmodo, the official YouTube support account said Google found out this problem and worked on a potential solution.

“Sorry to hear about this – just to clarify, do you experience this problem in Roku? If yes, we already know this problem, and our team is currently working on repairs,” said the account. “We will tell you as soon as we receive updates. Tell us if it’s something different.”

At present, it is not clear whether the bug is the latest development in ongoing disputes between Google and Roku. Back in April, both began to accuse openly to each other trying to negotiate their distribution agreements in bad faith. When we reach out Google, the company points us to tweets above without offering an additional context. We have also reached Roku to comment.

When 9to5Google shows, what makes the situation worse is that one potential solution for problems does not exist. Usually, in a situation like this you can remove the application installation affected and install it again to see if it fixes the problem. It was not yet possible because Roku pulled the YouTube TV application from the store back in April.
